Frequently asked questions
How long will I have to wait for my installation?
Our current lead time is typically 3 to 4 weeks from the date your order is confirmed. Because we focus on quality over speed this allows us enough time to have your windows or doors precision-manufactured to your exact specifications.
What is the energy rating of your windows?
We supply and install A+ Rated energy-efficient windows as standard. This means they are designed to minimise heat loss, keep your home warmer in the winter and help reduce your monthly energy bills.
Who actually carries out the installation?
When you choose Calder Valley Windows and Doors you are choosing a personal service. We carry out the installations ourselves. You don’t have to worry about sub-contractors or revolving teams of strangers; we are responsible for the project from start to finish to ensure our high standards are met.
Will I have to deal with a salesman?
No. We have a strict No Salesmen policy. I personally visit your home to provide expert advice and a free quotation. There are no high-pressure tactics or sign-on-the-day gimmicks. Instead we offer honest professional information so you can make the right choice for your home.
Are you professionally accredited?
Yes. We are Certass Certified which means our installations comply with Government Building Regulations. You will receive a building and compliance certificate for your records and our work is backed by a HomePro insurance-protected guarantee.
What colours can I choose from?
We have a huge range of colours available! Beyond the classic White, Rosewood, and Anthracite Grey we offer a wide variety of bespoke foils and finishes to match any property style. If you have a specific shade in mind, just ask. The chances are we can do it!
How secure are the door locking systems?
Security is our top priority. Our doors are fitted with industry-leading Yale multi-point locking systems combined with Star anti-snap cylinders. This provides the ultimate defence against common forced-entry methods, keeping your home and family safe.
What happens if there is any damage during the installation?
While we take every possible precaution to protect your home (including using dust sheets and floor protection), replacing windows and doors is a major construction task. Occasionally, minor disturbance to internal plaster or external rendering can occur. However, we have a ‘leave it as we found it’ policy. Any damage caused during the install is always fully rectified before we consider the job finished.
What window profiles do you use?
We use only the highest quality UK-manufactured profiles, specifically Liniar or Rehau. Both are industry leaders known for their superior thermal performance, durability and sleek modern appearance.
